Kmart Adds Generic Drugs To Programme
Kmart has announced that it will add over 70 new generic drugs to its programme that offers a 90-day supply of certain generic drugs for $15. Kmart started offering its discount generic drug plan in May 2006. Its move was mirrored by Wal-Mart, which offers a variety of generic drugs for $4 a month.
Kmart said its programme now includes 17 different formulations of generic prescription prenatal vitamins, which it claims is a larger variety than other similar offers. It said it now sertraline, which is used to treat depression, and simvastatin, which is used to treat high cholesterol. Both the drugs are not not on the list of drugs available for $4 at Wal-Mart.
